Can someone please thoroughly explain to me how to get videos from my Canon VIXIA HV30 onto my computer? I have windows, and I installed the software that came with it, but it won't recognize that my camcorder is even plugged it. Someone please help me, my project is due on friday... Please!!

Recently my Sony Digital 8 camcorder crashed and im in the middle of making a video. I need a way to upload the video i have already recorded with my Digital 8 camcorder. The only thing i can think of is buying a camera, uploading the video, and returning the camera back to the store. I cant find any Digital 8 camcorders so I may have to use a Hi8 camcorder. Will this work??

8 GB SDHC Card

I've read certain places where it says it has 8GB internal flash storage, but what this is sounding like is it comes with an 8GB SDHC card. Could someone please clarify?? Thanks!
